I listened to the Audible version of this book and I was immediately pulled into this story.
She was immature, irresponsible and one of the most self-absorbed characters I’ve read about in a long, long time, but I must admit - I pitied her. In my humble opinion she didn’t deserve her husband love and commitment and she didn’t deserve her best friend loyalty. OK, I’m sure you have gathered by now that I wasn’t too crazy about the heroine. I’m not telling you that because I would spoil the story for you. This is a book that is raw and painful, forcing you to confront emotions that you'd rather tuck away and pretend didn't exist.
Tori’s life completely changes when she creates an account on a fetish social network. Why am I rating this book so highly if I have so many issues with it? Because I cannot rate and review a story that actually happened in real life, nor can I rate and review real people's personalities and their morality. The idea, the writing, the author’s ability to evoke emotion, the characterization, the tone of the book, the message - all those elements deserve 5 stars.
Their story will make you cringe, will make you angry, will frustrate you as hell, will simply make you feel. I didn’t understand why she wanted something MORE and why she chose to mess her life up in such a way. I think everyone who will read her story will do that at some point into the story. I listened to the Audible version of this book and I was immediately pulled into this story.This story was too well written, too addictive, too [email protected] in a very good way for me to care about this aspect. Don’t live your life in a fantasy world.- The social media is a very dangerous and misleading place to live in.The raw and poetic writing, the scandalous, taboo, controversial theme, the suspense that held me at the edge of my seat consumed me from beginning until the end. It’s raw, it’s extremely honest, it’s intoxicating. However, they say a picture is worth a thousand words... Open your eyes, think with your head and beware of freaks and con artists!Also, I have to say I didn’t sympathize with her at all…at some point into the story. All in all, 'Author Anonymous' was a fantastically written compelling story that you don’t want to miss if you want to read something different, something raw and real, something that for sure will screw with your head. Let’s just say that there is this scene towards the end of the book where I cried like a baby. Life isn't always perfect..the grass isn't always greener. This is the story of Tori, a wife, mother and successful romance author.
