Give your opinion on internet dating
And you neglected to mention that women lie about their age quite often, especially those over 40. I don't know if the relationships last, or why they don't. I go on a LOT of first dates and typically don have second dates... It detracts from your image when you let people advertise in the comments sections. In both the US and UK samples, dishonesty declined with age.
Maybe older people are just more interested in projecting their real self, rather than an imagined or ideal version.
Most people meet their significant others through their social circles or work/school functions. In the search for a potential date, more and more people are switching to less traditional methods. With the rise of apps like Tinder (and the various copycat models), who could blame them?
According to the Pew Research Center, the overwhelming majority of Americans suggest that online dating is a good way to meet people.
